If you love your pets as much as we all at Phinney’s Friends do, then you will be as excited as we are to celebrate International Dog Biscuit Appreciation Day today! Yes, there is actually a holiday dedicated to celebrating man’s best friend, and their favorite treats.

Treats that have gone to the dogs

Dog treats come in various shapes, flavors and sizes. You can even buy your dog gourmet biscuits and food at fancy, upscale pet stores. Besides tasting great, dog treats now help to clean dogs’ teeth and can be used a training mechanism for good behavior. If you enjoy spending time in the kitchen, check out our blog post on baking your very own dog treats right at home.

Types of healthy dogs treats your pet will love:

  • Jerky dog treats are rich in omega-3 fatty acids and vitamins

  • Chicken wrapped dog treats made with real chicken

  • Organic treats made with wheat grass and are gluten-free

  • Chewable dental treats that are high in protein and fibers

  • Dental treats with ingredients to freshen bad doggy breath

  • Treats made especially to reduce pain relief from arthritis

  • Biscuits for joint support, fortified with vitamins and minerals

  • Protein treats made from wild fish

  • Freeze dried dog treats with all-natural ingredients and no preservatives

  • Pig ears that are 100% natural

  • Chewable antlers that last longer than rawhide or chew toys

Enjoy International Dog Biscuit Appreciation Day by treating your four-legged friend to some new, delicious biscuits to show just how much you love them!
