Paws in the Park was so much fun!

June 22, 2013

Phinney’s Friends was on hand at the annual “Paws in the Park” celebration of canine fun at Longfellow’s Wayside Inn in Sudbury last May. Sponsored by Save A Dog,the event was packed with all kinds of games and demonstrations, including the Flying High Frisbee Dogs.

There was even an agility try-out ring, as well as freestyle dancing demonstrations, a parade of adoptable dogs, doggie games, face painting for the kids, a silent auction, food, and lots of exhibitors.

Paws in the ParkPhinney’s Friends had a booth presence at the park that was successful by all accounts.

Our Director Heather Allen said that Phinney’s volunteers distributed lots of pamphlets and talked to dozens of people, a few of whom were interested in joining us.

It was a beautiful day outside, with lots of cute, nice dogs. And everyone of us had fun, volunteering for Phinney’s Friends.

If you’d like to  man a table at one of those pet events, please let us know! We’d like to get the word about us, so we can raise more funds and therefore help more pet families in need.
