We helped Cutie Pie get better!

March 26, 2013

Here’s a family that will stay together because of the persistence, kindness and generosity of a lot of people.

Cutie Pie had a tumor that suddenly ruptured and started bleeding. His mom, Carol, couldn’t afford the surgery that a veterinarian gave her to remove the mass, so, desperate, she opted for euthanasia, but the vet refused to do it and offered them to surrender the kitty over to them. Carol then thought she should try Kindness Animal Hospital, in Waltham — who are a group of really really kind pet-loving people — in case the vet clinic could offer a cheaper option.

Even with a discounted rate she got at Kindness, Carol still couldn’t afford the procedure. That’s when Phinney’s Friends stepped in and paid half of the bill after she proved she is low-income. Now Cutie Pie is going back home with his mom to recover and continue enjoying life.  :-)
